rambo_sartr_plakat_onlineAfter two successful concerts and four concert performance regarding the continuation of the former CDA scene, Sarajevo War Theater continues its concert fairy tale-on 17th May on the SARTR scene- RAMBO AMADEUS & TWO WINNETOUS!

Rambo Amadeus, known before as Rambo Amadeus Lee, with real name

Antonije Pušić, is rock singer and scriptwriter from Montenegro. Rambo Amadeus is also known for his critique of turbo folk and for nationalism, satirical texts, some of which are hardly understandable.

SARTR, established a month after the start of Sarajevo siege, made hundreds of shows during the war, and became a symbol of resistance. The New York Times describes Sarajevo War Theatre as a “Theater of soul” and as “The most creative stage in the city”. Sarajevo War Theater was established on 17th May 1992, gathering the actors and associates from three professional Sarajevo theaters, and which are, due to the aggression had to stop working. From 1993, SARTR was recognizes as the public institution from the sphere of culture and which was of the special interest for the city’s defense. Sarajevo war Theater realized its first theater premiere of the show named “Skloniste”.

Till today, SARTR realized over 50 productions. It gathers young artists and actors and tries to be and open place for young people and new ideas.
