dzaficFarmer Ramiz Džafić from Visoko earns between 7,000 and 8,000 BAM per year from one dunum of the land where he planted cucumbers.

Džafić states that the cultivation of cucumbers is a very profitable business, which offers satisfaction in the work to the farmer.

“Agriculture can be sometimes a risky business, but if you are hardworking and you are willing to work you can make money on the field,” said Džafić, adding that besides cucumbers he also cultivates other crops from which, also, he has a high yield, and he has several cows as well.

Ramiz was previously without a job, after which he and his family started to cultivate cucumbers.

“If you do not have big salary at the company where you work, you should turn to agriculture at your own home,” advised Džafić.
