Real Madrid, according to research conducted by the brand valuation company “Brand Finance,” is the most valuable football club in the world, reclaiming the title from Manchester City, which topped the list last year.
“Brand Finance” has released a list of the 50 most valuable club brands in world football, with the combined value of the top ten clubs exceeding 13.673 billion dollars.
Real Madrid tops the list with an estimated value of 1.805 billion dollars. Real Madrid has thus returned to the top spot it relinquished to Manchester City last year.
In terms of brand strength, Real Madrid surpasses renowned global brands such as Google, Coca-Cola, Ferrari, and Rolex, with a brand strength score of 96.3 out of 100.
Real Madrid also holds the title of the most-followed football club on social media.
Manchester City ranks second on the list with a value of 1.726 billion dollars, followed by Barcelona with 1.653 billion dollars.
Among the top ten most valuable clubs in the world, six are from England, two from Spain, and one each from France and Germany.
Manchester United ranks fourth on the list with a brand value of 1.498 billion dollars, while Liverpool takes the 5th spot with 1.478 billion dollars.
Bayern Munich climbs to sixth place with a brand value of 1.325 billion dollars, while French club PSG drops to 7th place with 1.294 billion dollars.
Arsenal occupies the eighth spot on the list with a brand value of 1.067 billion dollars, Tottenham Hotspur is ninth with 930 million dollars, and Chelsea rounds out the top ten with 897 million dollars.
Among the 50 clubs with the highest brand values in the world, there are 18 clubs from England, 11 from Germany, eight from Spain, six from Italy, three from France, two each from Portugal and the Netherlands, AA writes.
