The European Grand Prix for taekwondo, which will be held in Sarajevo from December 3rd to 6th, has gained additional significance. During this competition, which gathers 640 of the best young taekwondo athletes from across Europe, on December 5th, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the European Taekwondo Union will also be held.

By entrusting the organization of this meeting, the European Taekwondo Union (ETU) has decided to pay recognition to the sport of taekwondo in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), which in recent years has progressed rapidly.

“We are extremely proud that, in addition to the European Grand Prix, we will have the opportunity to host the meeting of the ETU Board of Directors. In doing so, a great honor, recognition, but also an obligation has been given to us to ensure that everything is at the highest level,” said the president of the Taekwondo Federation of the Federation of BiH (FBiH), Samir Saric, adding that the meeting of the Board of Directors will also be attended by the president of the ETU, Sakis Pragalos.

Saric also noted that the meetings held in the past year have been important for BiH taekwondo, its promotion, and the development that continues to move on an upward trajectory.

The meeting of the ETU Board of Directors and the four-day sports event will be preceded by the traditional tournament “BiH Open E1/G1”, scheduled to take place on November 30th and December 1st, it was stated in the press release of the Taekwondo Federation of FBiH.
