Mostar Red Bull Cliff DivingRed Bull Cliff Diving World Cup 2017 will start in June, and the good news for fans of jumps in our country is that Mostar was selected for one of the stops for the third time.

The world’s best male and female jumpers will demonstrate their incredible stunts on the 16th of September at the Old Bridge again, which delighted many viewers in the previous two years.

Like last year, on the Old Bridge will perform world elite in both competitions: in the championship of women and men. The height of the platform for men is 27 and for ladies 21 meters. For three seconds, which is how long the jump lasts, they reach speeds of up to 85 km / h, and perform breathtaking stunts. Since the competition on the Old Bridge will take place in mid-September, we can expect pleasant temperatures and ideal conditions – both for competitors and spectators.

The championship will visit six attractive locations worldwide this year. The season will be opened at the edge of Europe, on the Irish island of Inis Mor, in June. From there, Championship in July will move to the magnificent volcanic monolith of Portuguese Azores Islands, and then in Polignano a Mare, in the south of Italy. After the summer break, in September, the competition will be continued on the cliffs of Hell’s Gate in Texas (USA), and the world cliff diving elite will arrive in our country on the 16th of September, at the Old Bridge in Mostar. The finale of the season will take place in October at a new site, waterfall Rininahue in southern Chile.

When it comes to men, we must mention the six-time champion Gary Hunt and last year’s runner-up Jonathan Paredes. When it comes to women, there are sensational Rhiannan Iffland and Lysanne Richard, the two finalists from the season 2016. But there is still plenty of competitors in both competitions, so it is hard to predict the favorites.
