Red Meteo Alert issued for heavy Rainfall in BiH

Cloudy weather with rain is expected in Bosnia and Herzegovina today, and the majority of precipitation is expected in Herzegovina, Krajina and southwestern Bosnia.

The most intense precipitation is in the area of Herzegovina and it is likely that heavier rain from the north of Herzegovina will affect the southern part of the Sarajevo Canton. Wind moderate and strong from the south, occasionally with storm gusts.

The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of BiH issued a red warning due to heavy rainfall.

The expected amount of precipitation in the Krajina area is 30 to 60 liters per square meter. Southwestern part of Bosnia 50 to 80 liters per square meter. In Herzegovina, 80 to 140 liters per square meter. In the part of central Bosnia 50 to 80 liters per square meter.

Lowest morning air temperature mostly between seven and 12 degrees Celsius. The highest daily air temperature is usually between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius.
