This is a positive trend that has continued from 2011, given that in that year and in comparison to 2012, the number of unemployed reduced by 10,5 percent.

The significant contribution to improving the situation on the labor market in this Canton was given by the Federal Employment Agency and the Employment Services BPK through the implementation of a number of employment and self-employment programs “Prilika za Sve”, program of co-financing youth self-employment “Omladinsko poduzetništvo”, program of employing returnees in 2012, and the program of strengthening competition in the labor market (first work experience).

Also, the Federal Employment Agency and the Employment Services BPK, in cooperation with their partners, gave a significant contribution in the implementation of the project vocational training and employment stapling devices for the company “Prevent Goražde” d.o.o, which employs 600 people from the registrar in BPK.

Next to those activities, the Department of Employment BPK, through the formation of the Center for Information, Counseling and Training (CISO) and the Club for looking for a job (Jobclub) implemented significant reforms with the goal to lend better services to employers and job seekers.
