Remains of Six Persons found in Mass Grave near Mostar

During the exhumation of the remains of the victims of the previous war, the remains of at least six people have been found in the area of ​​Medjina in Mostar so far, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina said.

The found remains will be sent for further forensic processing and identification through DNA analysis in the premises of the city cemetery “Sutina” in Mostar.

An investigator from the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is present at the location, who, under the supervision of the acting prosecutor, coordinates the work and activities of authorized officials participating in the exhumation process.

Members of the team of forensic doctors, representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons (INO) of BiH, the International Commission for Missing Persons of ICMP BiH, necessary workers and mechanization, as well as police officers of the Ministry of Interior of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton are on the ground.

The exhumation at this site will continue tomorrow, the statement said.
