Incomplete remains of at least two victims of the last war were exhumed today at the Baljkovica site near Zvornik.

After the exhumation, the remains will be transferred to the premises of the Commemorative Center in Tuzla, where criminal-technical and forensic-medical processing will take place, as well as the removal of bone samples in order to determine the identity of the victims using DNA.

At the same time, for the second day in a row, exhumations are underway at the Sekovici site, at the local garbage dump.

According to the information available to the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the remains of several victims are being searched for at this site.

So far, the remains have not been found, so the exhumation at this site will continue in the coming days.

The exhumations are being managed by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and by order of the Court of BiH, the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH announced.
