skupstina-ks-2The Commission for the selection and appointment and administrative issues of the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo adopted a decision on the linear reduction of salaries for all representatives of the Assembly by 20 percent, found out portal klix.ba.

The decision was unanimous, and President of the Commission Elmedin Dino Konaković and members Mirsad Pindžo, Eldar Čomor, Enes Zeković and Mirjana Malić voted for while Naser Nabil and Hanka Vajzović were absent.

‘’We did not wait to solve the administrative problem, to amend and law and we found a way for the Commission, which has the jurisdiction, to immediately realize one of the positions of the Canton Sarajevo Assembly. Serious cuts await us in all areas and it is good for the representatives to show that they are ready for this through personal example. The salaries of representatives in Canton Sarajevo are less than the salaries of our colleagues in other cantons, and they do not receive salaries on any other grounds. However, it is time for such steps in order to start other processes’’, said President of the Commission Dino Konaković for klix.ba.

This decision was brought at the proposal of the Vice-President of the Canton Sarajevo Assembly Kemal Ademović and will be applied starting from 1 March.

The highest salary in the Assembly goes to Chairperson Malić, while representatives receive a monthly salary of 2.200 BAM.
