plenum_tkAfter the peaceful protest walks, representatives of the Plenum of the citizens of Tuzla spoke with representatives of the Tuzla Canton Assembly, with the goal of determining the status of solving the set of demands of the Plenum.

So far, two demands have been met. The ultimate demand to abolish the so-called white bread was adopted. The Plenum is seeking that the „grupa 12+1“, or the former Ministers and Prime Minister, give up all benefits in order to avoid judicial claims to the white bread on the basis of signed contracts.

The legal team, who in the name of the Plenum is working on this issue, strengthened by Tuzla lawyers who are doing pro bono work, will receive today the necessary, additional documentation in order to prepare statements on a waiver that will be signed by the government that the citizens fired.

Representatives of the Plenum received a copy of the decision on the dismissal of the government of the Tuzla Canton and decisions on the establishment of salaries and benefits of officials. They also received copies of the submitted forms JS3100, on behalf of the ten former members of the government and the Prime Minister. There are missing forms on Zoran Teofilović, Minister of Interior and Emir Hujdurović, Minister of Labor, Social Policies and Return.

It was found that the dynamics of solving issues that are under the jurisdiction of the Assembly of Tuzla Canton has to accelerate, and that the Collegiate will prepare a clear response to every one of the demands of citizens, with a deadline until when it could be completed. The demands that are not in the jurisdiction of the Tuzla Canton Assembly will be sent to the relevant institutions.

In the meantime, peaceful protests will continue on Wednesday at 9:00 in front of the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor’s Office, and citizens call on one another to show their support to disadvantaged workers.
