austriaThe Republic of Austria is interested in further investment in the banking sector, the sector of healthy food, energy sector and tourism, where BH has significant potentials, Austrian Ambassador to BH,  H. E. Mr. Martin Pammer said during a visit to the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), where he spoke with the CBBH Governor Kemal Kozarić, Ph.D.

The Republic of Austria is one of the largest investors in BH, whose investments amount to the total of 2.6 billion BAM, mostly in financial service activities.

During the conversation of the CBBH Governor and Austrian Ambassador the need was stressed to improve the image of the country, which would make access to investors easier.

“There are many positive examples of investments in BH and this is the image that should be shown. Unfortunately, often the image of the country is worse than it is really the case. Our aim is to promote good examples that will show other potential investors that they can come to BH and make a good job, “said Ambassador Pammer.

Governor Kozarić thanked to the Republic of Austria for its contribution to the economic recovery of BH, as the Austrian investments, primarily in the financial sector, beside the necessary funds and new jobs, have also brought new technology and new business concept. Thus the overall level of BH banking sector operations has been improved.
