The authorities of Republika Srpska have received a new lobbying representative in the United States, and the contract was concluded with the company “MO Strategies, Inc.”, whose founder is close to the Republican Party in the US, reports the Balkan Research Network of BiH.

As stated in the contract, which was published in the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), the American company “MO Strategies, Inc.” was hired to represent the interests of Republika Srpska by another American company – “Becker & Poliakoff”, with which a previous contract on lobbying for RS was concluded in June 2025.

According to the new consulting contract between the two American companies, which was concluded on July 1, 2025, “MO Strategies, Inc.” will assist in representing the interests of the Republika Srpska before the US Government on issues that identify the authorities in Republika Srpska.

The contract does not specify the institution that is the holder of the contract on behalf of Republika Srpska, but from the information about the address of Ban Milosavljević in Banja Luka, it can be concluded that this is the Office of the President of RS.

The contract states that “MO Strategies, Inc.” will receive $10,000 per month for its services from “Becker & Poliakoff,” but only when the firm receives payment from Republika Srpska.

The signatory of the contract on behalf of the new American lobbying representative is Martin Obst, who is described on the “MO Strategies, Inc.” website as a Republican strategist with over 20 years of experience in Republican politics.

Obst reportedly held leadership roles in Donald Trump’s 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, and was also a senior political advisor to former US Vice President Mike Pence.

The Detector contacted “MO Strategies, Inc.”, Obst, and the Office of the President of the RS, but they were not immediately available for comment.

Authorities in Republika Srpska have stepped up their efforts to lobby the new US administration following Donald Trump’s victory.

The contract concluded in June 2025 with the firm “Becker & Poliakoff” states, among other things, that the main purpose is to initiate and promote dialogue between the authorities in Republika Srpska and the Trump administration.

“Becker & Poliakoff” is also a subcontractor in this contract, and as stated, the amount of $40,000 per month will be paid to the firm by the American firm “Zell & Associates International Advocates”, which the authorities in Republika Srpska hired in January 2025 and which is paid directly by the BiH entity.

Among other things, the firm will also work on the removal of sanctions against Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović, according to BIRN.
