Restoration of the Building of the CS Government so far Cost More than One Million BAM

sanira-se-zgrada-vlade-ksOne of the symbols of destruction that occurred during the protests on February 7th 2014 was the Bijela Vlada (government),  the building shared by the institutions of  Sarajevo Canton and the Municipality Center.

According to estimates from court experts, the cost of damage inflicted on the building at the address, Reis Džemaludina Čaušević Street, is 1,078,554.90 BAM.

So far, the Sarajevo Canton has paid 853,774.15 BAM to those carrying out repairs on the building, including carpentry and electrical work.

“The previously mentioned works relate to the repair and restoration of the roof structure and to the scraping and painting of every room in the Sarajevo Canton government building. Other works completed included the repair of  all the electrical fittings, the main distributor, fire-damaged  facilities, computer networks, the video surveillance, the fire-alarm system, the telephone exchange and network, and fire-damaged sanitary facilities, deep-cleaning the carpets and the repair of the air-conditioning systems, as well as other repairs”, it announced in Klix.ba of Professional services of the KS.

For the replacement of burned and destroyed equipment Sarajevo Canton allocated a total of 153,535.87 BAM. These costs related to the purchase of office furniture, computers and computer equipment, equipment for video surveillance and air conditioners, as well as telephone and other minor office equipment.

Sarajevo Canton has so far allocated for the repair of damage a total 1,007,280.02 BAM.  Further funding will be necessary  this year for the reconstruction of a part of the facade, which will be done in cooperation with the Municipality Center.
