Independent candidate for the presidency of the United States (U.S.) Robert F. Kennedy spoke with Donald Trump after the assassination attempt, and the recording of the conversation was accidentally published on social networks.
In the conversation, Trump can be heard describing in detail what happened when he was hit by a bullet, recounting a conversation with Joe Biden, the current president of the U.S.
“He called me and I described to him that I was looking at the chart at the time. I didn’t tell him that the chart showed immigration under his administration. I just turned to the chart and something hit me, like it was the biggest mosquito in the world,” Trump described.
He goes on to say that it is a serious weapon used by Thomas Matthew Crooks, the gunman who was killed by the U.S. Secret Service after shooting at Trump.
“It was a bullet, and the bullets in this rifle are very serious. It was an AR-15 rifle, a very serious weapon,” Trump said.
After the video was released, Kennedy apologized to the former president and said the video should never have been released.
“I should have told the cameraman to stop filming. It is absolutely appalling that this has been released. I have extended my deepest apologies to former President Trump,” Kennedy said.
