Three rockets fired from Lebanon hit the Margaliot area in northern Israel, the Israeli military said.
The rockets fell on open areas in the Upper Galilee region, with no casualties, Israel Army Radio reported.
This incident follows a series of recent escalations along the Israeli-Lebanese border.
Yesterday, two Israeli soldiers were injured, one seriously, when a rocket fired from Lebanon hit the Upper Galilee area.
The Israeli military announced that 55 rockets were fired from Lebanon at the time, with some landing in open fields and causing fires.
Fears are growing over the possibility of an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah following months of cross-border fire, especially after Hezbollah’s threats of military retaliation following the July 30 killing of its commander-in-chief, Fuad Shukr, in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut.
The escalation comes against the backdrop of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip that have killed more than 40,000 Palestinians since October last year.
