The Republika Srpska – Hungary business forum will be held today in Banja Luka. More than 20 eminent Hungarian companies and more than 70 business entities from RS interested in cooperation with Hungarians will participate in the Business Forum.

As stated by the Government of Republika Srpska, the forum will be an opportunity to agree on the implementation of new joint projects.

As announced, the Forum will be opened by the Prime Minister of the RS, Radovan Višković, who said yesterday that in cooperation with Hungary, investments are expected that are significantly higher than the 100 million euros agreed so far.

Economic entities from the fields of agriculture, food industry, finance, construction, metal sector, and water supply and energy will participate in the forum, said the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republika Srpska.

The relevant ministry stated that the potential of RS and the possibility of investing in new production facilities will be promoted at the Business Forum.

The intention, as they point out, is to expand cooperation with Hungary in several sectors – in the segment of improving foreign trade exchange, foreign investments in the RS and investments in certain energy and water supply projects.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, said last night that 23 of the largest Hungarian companies from the fields of agriculture, food industry, energy, steel production, and construction, which are interested in entering the Republika Srpska market, are coming to the forum.

The Republika Srpska – Hungary business forum will be held in the Administrative Center of the Government in Banja Luka.

The Hungarian delegation will include Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Economic Development Marton Nagy, Director of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency Gabor Jenei, as well as representatives of 23 companies.

Before the start of the forum, a meeting of the delegations of Republika Srpska and Hungary will be held in the Administrative Center of the Government, and before that Prime Minister Višković and Minister of Finance Zora Vidović will meet with Nagy in the Palace of the Republic.
