RS President honored the Russian Leader Vladimir Putin

The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik honored the Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

After the meeting in Moscow, Dodik said that it is very important that he talks regularly with President Putin and that “he has time for Republika Srpska”. At the meeting, it was agreed that the gas price for the RS will remain favorable.

“I presented President Putin with the Order of the Republika  Srpska on a necklace for special patriotic concern and love for the RS, which was awarded to him on the occasion of Republic Day, January 9,” Dodik wrote on Twitter.

He added that they continue economic, cultural and educational cooperation with Russia, and continue the intensive construction of the Russian-Serbian center in Banja Luka.

“President Putin understands that Bosnia and Herzegovina did not impose sanctions on Russia thanks to Republika Srpska,” concluded Dodik.

Putin told Dodik that he is grateful to Republika Srpska for its friendly attitude towards Russia.

Dodik said that Republika Srpska needs cooperation with Russia on the economic front.

He emphasized that the Republika Srpska remains persistent in its position that it does not follow policies aimed at shifting the blame to only one side in the war in Ukraine.

“And we think that the Russian Federation, which persistently fought for its security framework and tried to provide these guarantees before, was simply forced in connection with this military operation,” says Dodik.

Dodik pointed out that Republika Srpska “understands that this is not a conflict between Ukraine and Russia, but a conflict between the West and Russia”.

“In any case, the Republika Srpska is stable and peaceful, but exposed to various demands for the demolition of the Dayton Agreement,” said Dodik.

Dodik repeated that the Russian Federation is a guarantor of the Dayton Agreement.

“We recorded over 100 jurisdictions that we had and were guaranteed in Dayton and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which were taken away from the Republika Srpska. All of this went through the last 20 years of imposing rules that destroyed international law,” concluded Dodik.

Let’s recall that Dodik visited Putin at the time of Russia’s brutal aggression against Ukraine, which is condemned by the Western world. This visit will certainly cause a lot of damage to the reputation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
