Russia has completed a prisoner swap with Ukraine, finalized during a phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
The statement said 175 Ukrainian soldiers were exchanged for 175 Russian soldiers.
Moscow also handed over 22 seriously wounded Ukrainian prisoners who require urgent medical attention, which it described as a gesture of goodwill.
The United Arab Emirates brokered the deal, the defense ministry said.
The Russian soldiers released under the deal are in Belarus awaiting transit to Russia, it added.
