Russia will expand the list of EU officials who are banned from traveling to the country in response to Brussels’ new sanctions against Moscow, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

Earlier today, the EU published the 14th package of sanctions against Russia in the official gazette.

The announcement states that it is a “response to the hostile actions” of the EU.

The updated list includes representatives of law enforcement agencies, governmental and commercial organizations of EU countries, EU members responsible for providing military assistance to Kyiv, employees of European structures and state bodies of EU countries involved in the prosecution of Russian officials and the seizure or use of Russian assets in the interests of Kyiv.

The measure also includes persons who are “responsible for imposing sanctions on Russia and attempting to undermine its relations with other countries.”

“Russia confirms that the hostile actions of Western countries will not go unanswered in the future,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded.
