Sadi Sasic from the village of Zlate near Jablanica was left without a home. His parents are in the hospital in Konjic, and he is in the Jablanica Nursing Home. The torrent of water carried him for meters, maybe even kilometers. He was trapped in the mud for hours and then pulled himself out. He is wounded and temporarily in a wheelchair.
”I’m fine now. There are just horrors in my memories, nothing more,” he said.
He is covered in wounds and bandages but says he has not been x-rayed.
“The doctors don’t say anything, they come and put bandages on me. My legs are swollen, but they didn’t send me to an x-ray, I don’t know if there are fractures. I guess not, since I can move them”, added Sasic.
That night he was in the house next to his parents’, he says that they are in a little better condition, but houses are destroyed.
“They did better, I was carried away with that house. Even though I was in cuts I went to look for them. I didn’t feel the pain from the adrenaline, and I was in pain all night. Only when I saw that they were fine did I calm down,” he explained.
Now placed in a Nursing Home, in a wheelchair, without any home. Still grateful that those closest to him survived that difficult night (October 3rd – October 4th), N1 writes.
