Salaries of judges and prosecutors from the Republic of Srpska (RS) will be increased by 2.26 % in the following period, and will range up to 4,500 BAM.
The parliamentary procedure addressed amendments to the Law on salaries and allowances of judges and prosecutors. The increase in the basic monthly salary of judicial office holders was stipulated after the Constitutional Court of RS found certain provisions from the law in force to be unconstitutional.
“Instead of the regulated, nominal amount of salaries for judges and prosecutors, according to which the wages paid by the end of 2011 were increased on the amount of real wages achieved in 2012, when the average salary in B&H exceeded the amount of 800 BAM and increased by 2.26 %, were stipulated by the new changes in the law ” as said in the explanation of this law.
If the Law on salaries and allowances of judges and prosecutors gets accepted on the next session of the National Assembly of RS, the maximum basic salary of the President of Supreme Court and the Chief Prosecutor of the RS will amount up to 4.499 BAM.
The heads of departments of Supreme Court and the Deputy Chief State Prosecutor will be receiving slightly smaller salaries, approximately 4,090 BAM.
The judges of the Supreme Court of the RS and RS prosecutors should have the monthly salary amounted to 3.886 BAM, the presidents of the Courts with 60 or more judges will receive 3.681 BAM, and the presidents of the District courts and the Higher Commercial Court as well as the Chief prosecutor of District prosecutor offices will receive salary of 3,477 BAM, according to the new Law.
