Prominent BiH journalist Salih Brkić died this morning at the age of 75, it was confirmed for Klix.ba.

Brkić died after a short illness, and in the Bosnian public, in addition to being a journalist, he will be remembered as a true fighter for promoting the truth about the sufferings and horrors that happened to Podrinje, especially Srebrenica, during the war.

During the aggression, Brkić reported from almost all the battlefields in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in Srebrenica.

He has always been where it is most difficult, and in his last interview for Klix.ba almost three years ago, he said that Srebrenica represents his biggest wound, while the genocide committed in this city is a shame for the whole world, especially the international community.

Brkić was born in Mostar and grew up in Stolac. He moved to Banovići, where he worked on a radio, and later in Tuzla, where he worked in several media.

He had the longest journalistic experience at the Federal Television, after which he took a well-deserved retirement.

He is the author of numerous documentaries. He is the winner of tens of journalistic awards, including the Charter of Hasan Kaimija for lifetime achievement.

The date and time of the funeral will be announced later.
