Santa Claus’s traditional bicycle race brought holiday spirit to Mostar streets this weekend. The event was organized by the Bike Club Mostar in cooperation with the Bike Promotion Association “Hercegovina Bike”, all for the occasion of Christmas and New Year holidays.

The president of the Mostar Bicycle Club Toni Zoric said he is happy to see a lot of people, especially because the event involves driving through the city and giving gifts to the youngest ones.

“The City of Mostar has provided a social gathering and the youngest ones got a free ride,” Zoric said.

Mario Maric, one of the grandparents, said that this is already a traditional event and that it is their contribution to Mostar’s holiday spirit.

Ivana Dreznjak participated for the first time at the Santa Claus Bicycle race and she said that she is here because the event brings the Christmas and New Year spirit into the city.

“I want to share this with my child,” said Ivana.

Everyone who was appropriately dressed could participate in the bicycle race. The event started exactly at noon, turning down the streets and bridges of the town on Neretva River and returned to the starting point.
