kaldrmicaThe gallery “Kaldrmica” was open yesterday in Sarajevo. The main goal of this gallery is to provide a space for many unemployed women in B&H where they will be able to exhibit their unique works so those who appreciate art and art works could come and see them.

The principal idea of “Kaldrmica” is based on the concept of avlija (yard) where women used to gather, talk and create delicate handicrafts.

“So far we had the chance to exhibit and sell our works only at the fairs. Now our works have a home where they will be available all the time and where we can gather and advice ourselves.” – said one of the artists, member of this gallery.

Each one of the 60 members of this gallery has its own story while the thing which connects them is their talent and their hard working hands.

The beauty of their works attracted many buyers at the fairs inside and out of the country so the gallery “Kaldrmica” will enable that these works are available all the time to all citizens and visitors of Sarajevo. At the same time, that will ensure a continuous income for the members.

Behind this project is the association “Our concept” which tries to help female entrepreneurs to improve their approach to the market and to raise that way the quality of living of their families.

The association invites all women interested in cooperating to join them in the gallery “Kaldrmica”.

The project’s partner is EBRD BAS program for helping female entrepreneurship.
