By signing the Protocol on cooperation regarding the joint project of helping Gaza, worth 25 000 Dollars (38 250 BAM), the help to the citizens of Gaza, more precisely to 400 families has been foreseen. The help consists out of donating lighting to the houses of poor families.
The signatories are: mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić, mayor of the municipality Stari Grad Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, the Chairman of the Novi Grad Edina Gabela and assistant of the Ilidža municipality’s mayor Azra Stambolić.
On behalf of the Palestinian Diaspora Association in B&H, Mohammad Hamad thanked them for this project and added that most people live in the dark in Gaza and that’s why it’s so important to help them get accumulators or aggregates for electricity.
The town of Sarajevo provided 7 000 BAM, the municipality Old Town 15 000 BAM and the municipalities of Stari Grad and Ilidža 10 000 BAM each for this project’s implementation.
