Sarajevo International Airport continues to achieve success, and August 2025 was officially recorded as the most successful month in the history of this airport in terms of the number of passengers transported.

According to official data, a total of 311,827 passengers passed through Sarajevo Airport during the past month. Compared to the same period last year, this is an impressive 20% increase, which confirms the continuous trend of increasing traffic.

In addition, a total of 2,414 air operations were carried out in August, which represents an increase of 10% compared to the same month last year.

From January to the end of August 2025, a total of 1,552,145 passengers passed through Sarajevo International Airport, which is a significant indicator of stable growth and strengthening of the airport’s position at the regional level.

The airport emphasizes that these results are the result of dedicated work and cooperation of all parties involved:

“These impressive results are the result of joint work, dedication and professionalism of all employees, as well as confirmation of successful cooperation with numerous partners, airlines and institutions. We hereby express our sincere gratitude to all airport workers – from operational and technical staff, as well as administrative services, for their inexhaustible energy, dedication and daily contribution to the smooth functioning of Sarajevo Airport,” Sarajevo International Airport announced.

With this record, Sarajevo ranks among the regional airports with the most dynamic growth in 2025, and it is expected that by the end of the year the number of passengers will further exceed previous projections.
