Sarajevo International Airport continues to record impressive growth. As they announced yesterday, the number of 1.822.102 passengers was recorded, thereby already surpassing the record from 2024, almost three months earlier than last year.

For comparison, the same number of passengers in 2024 was achieved only at the end of December, which clearly shows how much more dynamic and successful 2025 is in terms of air traffic growth.

“The growth in the number of passengers is the result of the strategic expansion of the destination network, the arrival of new airlines, better connections with key European and Middle Eastern cities, as well as the growing interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) as an attractive tourist but also business destination,” stated Sarajevo International Airport.

By the end of the year, they expect the continued growth of passenger numbers, which will certainly exceed all previous projections and set a new historical record for Sarajevo International Airport.

“While we summarize the results of the most successful summer season so far, we are preparing for the winter season and the winter flight schedule, which comes into effect on October 26th, 2025. Once again, we want to emphasize that these impressive figures are the result of joint work, dedication, and professionalism of all employees, as well as confirmation of successful cooperation with numerous partners, airlines, and institutions,” they emphasize.

They expressed sincere gratitude to all airport workers, from operational and technical staff to administrative services, for their inexhaustible energy, commitment, and daily contribution to the smooth functioning of Sarajevo Airport.
