Sarajevo International Guitar Festival starts on Thursday

In the period from 04 to 08 April, Sarajevo International Guitar Festival 2013 will be held for the third year in a row. The organising team is led by manager Šehu Đani, and the most famous guitar players of our time will participate. This year, Festival will offer concerts, workshops for students of guitar and competition of guitar playing.

As a part of concert activities, renowned artists will perform every night. Festival will be opened by a young guitar player Petrit Çeku.

On 5 April, Friday, in cooperation with Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, there will be a concert of SIGF quartet (Alexander Swete, Zoran Krajišnik, Đani Šehu and Igor Mijatović)  which will be held in National Theatre of Sarajevo.

On 6 April, Day of Liberation of Sarajevo, there will be concert of ensemble Anonimus 4 from Belgrade and successful French guitar player Gaëlle Solal.

On Sunday, 7 April, in the same concert hall there will be concert of Slovenian guitar player and composer Nejc Kuhar and Brazilian guitar band Duo Siqueira Lima.

On 8 April, the festival will closed by a concert of young BiH guitar player Sanel Redžić which will be held in the hall of Dom Oružanih Snaga BIH and at the same time there will be a competitive and educational program of the Festival.

SIGF hopes that many fans of guitar in Sarajevo will come and watch performances of some of the best guitar players of our time.
