Sarajevo Olympic Week 2026, a festival dedicated to the promotion of sport, culture, and Olympic values, will be held from February 6th to 15th at six locations in Sarajevo and on Bjelasnica. Inspired by the city’s rich Olympic heritage and connecting it with the future of the Olympic movement, the festival brings a ten-day program that includes a ceremonial opening at the Olympic Museum, meetings with top sporting names, educational and cultural content, music programs on the mountain, an art exhibition, an eSports program, film screenings, panel discussions, as well as mass and inclusive sports activities, with the aim of making Sarajevo’s Olympic spirit vibrant, contemporary and accessible to all generations.

“Sarajevo Olympic Week is growing year by year and evolving into a platform that connects sport, culture, education, and the community. We are proud that in 2026 we are bringing a program that simultaneously preserves Sarajevo’s Olympic heritage and opens space for new formats, new audiences, and contemporary themes,” said the President of the Sarajevo Olympic Week Organizing Committee, Din Pehlivanovic.

The Sarajevo Olympic Week 2026 program opens on February 6th with a ceremonial event at the Olympic Museum Sarajevo, in partnership with the Embassy of Italy, symbolically linking Sarajevo’s Olympic past with the upcoming Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games. The central part of the festival is a series of talks titled “Olympic Stories with…”, within which the audience will have the opportunity to meet top athletes and Olympic medal winners from our region. At the same time, the festival brings Olympic Cinema at Europe House, panel discussions on sport, culture, and diplomacy, an eSports program in cooperation with Connect Arena, and the Milano Cortina Zone as an interactive space for meeting, entertainment, and culture in the city center. The mountain segment of the festival on Bjelasnica brings Olympic Lounge concerts and the Chill & Thrill electronic stage, while special segments of the program are dedicated to mass sport, inclusion, work with children, and the promotion of winter sports through Sport 4 All Day, a mini hockey tournament, and the socially responsible campaign Olympic Awareness 4 All.

“Our ambition is not just to organize a festival, but to create lasting value for the city and the community. Sarajevo Olympic Week should be a place where Olympic values are not only remembered but also lived through sport, dialogue, culture, and togetherness. We want to inspire young people, connect generations, and show that Sarajevo’s Olympic spirit has a strong role in the contemporary context as well,” Pehlivanovic added.

Tickets for the Olympic Lounge, as well as free tickets for “Olympic Stories with…”, are available via the Entrio platform, while all information about program activities is available on the official Sarajevo Olympic Week Instagram account.

Sarajevo Olympic Week 2026 is being realized with the support of the City of Sarajevo, the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Tourist Board, the CS Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Municipality of Centar, the Municipality of Stari Grad, the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), international diplomatic partners, as well as numerous domestic and international organizations and sponsors who recognize the importance of preserving and developing Sarajevo’s Olympic heritage.
