Sarajevo on the List of the most popular Destinations for Local Food Tasting

The capital city of BiH is on the list of Top 10 destinations where you can taste delicious local food. Sarajevo is accompanied by cities of some of the most exotic countries such as Taiwan, Malaysia and Brazil.

According to the study done by Booking.com, which is based on the data acquired from more than 50,000 passengers, they selected 10 top destinations. Moreover, 40 % of them are planning to visit some of the cities from the list this year.

Almost 64 % of passengers stated that they decided to try the local food this year and they are hoping for adventure tastes. Our capital city of Sarajevo is in the 7thplace, while Ipoh (Malaysia) is in the first place.

Top 10 Destinations:

  1. Ipoh, Malaysia
  2. Kaohsiung, Taiwan
  3. Nagoya, Japan
  4. Jahor Bahru, Malaysia
  5. Jao Pessoa, Brazil
  6. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
  7. Sarajevo, BiH
  8. Colmar, France
  9. Lima, Peru
  10. Catania, Italy

More than half of the passengers noted that they would like to try food on the road, i.e. food from popular “food trucks”. On this list are Portland in the US, Sao Paulo in Brazil, Seoul in South Korea, Bangkok in Thailand and Istanbul in Turkey.

When it comes to the street food, the best destinations are Jeonju in South Korea, Hsinchu City in Taiwan, Marrakech in Morocco, New York City in the US and Mexico City in Mexico.
