Sarajevo records new Cases of Coronavirus

In the past 24 hours, in the Canton of Sarajevo, the results of PCR and antigen tests confirmed 205 new cases of coronavirus infection, and two people died, the Public Health Institute of the Sarajevo Canton announced.

In the same period, 303 people recovered from the coronavirus.

There are currently 105 patients in hospital, 100 of whom have an acute infection. The share of unvaccinated people in the number of hospitalized is 80.95 percent. 73 patients are being treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 32 at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas”. There are six people using respirator, 11 of them use non-invasive ventilation, while three patients are on oxygen breathing support.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 3,120 active cases of covid-19 infection. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 105,248 people infected with coronavirus and 100,241 people have been cured.

“The average daily number of new patients in the past seven days is 229,” according to the CS Public Health Institute.

Last day, 244 people were vaccinated in Sarajevo Canton.
