Sarajevo Director Srđan Šarenac will be from 1 to 8 November the President of the jury for the documentary film at the International Film Festival Listapad in Minski, Belarus, after which he will travel to Brazil to film a new movie.
‘’The idea to film in a Brazilian prison, where Miss Prison is organized every year, came to me three years ago. The film will speak of the most seriously convicted Brazilian prisoners, who have the chance to feel like free women for two weeks, and not as convicts’’, he said.
Thanks to the Croatian audio-visual center, Šarenac has funds for five days of filming for his research.
Despite the fact that the shooting will take place in a jail where women are convicted for the most serious offenses, he said that he is not afraid.
