The Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović, after the first session of the Ministerial Council, told reporters that they have chosen the members of the Committee for Internal Policy and the Committee on Economy of the Council of Ministers.
He said that this was part of regular procedure in the constitution of the Council of Ministers.
He added that they also discussed matters relating to the appointment of three governors on behalf of BiH to the three key financial institutions: the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
“The BiH Governor to the World Bank will be Chairman Denis Zvizdić, the Governor to the IMF will be Minister Vjekoslav Bevanda and myself as the Governor to the EBRD,” said Minister Šarović, adding that these are the Chairman and two Deptuy Chairmen of the Council of Ministers.
“We have already started the activities in connection with the budget. The budget proposals are currently at the ministries. After that, probably in several days, it goes to the Council of Ministers, then to the BiH Presidency. We have started the procedure and it is likely that the budget will be on the agenda at one of the first sessions of the Council of Ministers,” said Šarović.
Regarding the coordination mechanism, he underlined that this is one of the priorities of the new government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We shall probably in the coming weeks start with the preparatory work for this important matter. I hope that we will be able to come to a decision that would unblock the process when it comes to BiH’s path to the EU,” said Minister Šarović.
