chick_litAt SARTR on 18 February, the public will have the chance to watch the play ‘Chik Lit’, directed by Tanja Miletić-Oručević, which is coming from the Croatian National Theatre in Mostar.

This burlesque deals with a new elite that matured during the transition period and incurable diseases of modern society. While the elite suffocates in all the seven deadly sins, invisible, but a presence of a heap of vain protests. Everything takes place at one party; this is a world of nouveau tycoons and industrialists who employ suitable and obedient people. The scene includes a whole range of characters, which will ironically, grotesquely and critically uncover the time and values in which we live. There are 13 actors that will occupy the stage.

The play is very critically-minded and has a strong note of social engagement, but does not fall into cheap moralizing and does not take sides.
