Searches at several Locations due to organized Crime

Members of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, acting under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are carrying out an operation codenamed “The Godfather”.

Searches of facilities used by the suspects in the area of the municipalities of Centar, Novo Sarajevo, Novi Grad and Vogošća are underway.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska, searches are also conducted at several locations in that entity.

The activities are carried out within the case code-named “The Godfather” with evidence from Sky and Anom applications, and due to the suspicion of the commission of criminal offenses of organized crime, related to the illegal traffic of narcotic drugs and weapons.

The activities in question are carried out with the support of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.
