Second International Boat Regatta Klek–Neum Held

NeumThis year the Association of Boatmen ‘Neum’ and Association ‘Heritage of Neretva’ Opuzen, organized the second International Boat Regatta Klek-Neum. The event attracted many viewers, spectators and fans throughout the coast of Neum.

Performers of Regatta were: Neum, Neum Juniors, Opuzen, Gusari Komin, Domagojevi Gusari-Vid, Gospa Karmenska-Krvavac, Stablina, Žrnovo, Čeljevo, Gabela 1., Gabela 2., Donjani Donji-Slivno,Baćina, Južnjak Ploče, Metkovke, Crni Put-Metković, Sveti Roko-Podrujnica, Jerkovac-Metković, 4. Gardijska Brigada, Bjelovar.

The finish point was at the beach hotel ‘Zenit’ and this year the team ‘Gusari’ from Komin won first place in the International Regatta Klek- Neum. Second place was shared by two teams ‘Opuzen’ and ‘Žrnovo’. These two teams came together to the finish, and therefore it was decided to share second place and third place was not given to anyone, announced on municipality website.

The Mayor of municipality of Neum Živko Matuško, the mayor of municipality of Slivno Smiljan Mustapić, Dubrovnik- Neretva County Nikola Dobroslavić and President ŽO HDZ BiH HNŽ Rafael Gagro awarded winning teams with medals and trophies.

Sponsors of the event were Dubrovnik-Neretva County, municipality of Neum,municipality Slivno and many others.
