The Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, abolished the red level of security threats from terrorism and is moving to the yellow level, which is a moderate level of threat from terrorism, announced the Ministry of Interior of Serbia.

The measures that were ordered in accordance with the red level of security threats from terrorism will end today at 19:00, given the reduced security challenges, risks and threats from a terrorist act.

In accordance with the yellow level of security threats, members of the MoI will undertake increased precautionary measures and attention, with the aim of protecting facilities of vital importance for Serbia, key infrastructure facilities, shopping centers, cinemas, public facilities and places of mass gatherings, the statement said.

The red level of security threats from terrorism was introduced after on June 29, member of the Gendarmerie M.J. Miloš Žujović, whose religious name is Salahudin, wounded a convert to Islam with a crossbow in front of the Embassy of Israel in Belgrade.
