The Ministry of Defense of Serbia announced that, in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, and the Chairman of the National Security Council, Aleksandar Vucic, the export of weapons and military equipment produced in Serbia is being suspended.

“In the future, for the export of weapons and military equipment produced in defense industry factories, in addition to the approval of other competent ministries and agencies, the approval of the National Security Council will also be mandatory, in accordance with Article 16, Paragraph 4 of the Law on the Export and Import of Weapons and Military Equipment,“ the Ministry of Defense of Serbia stated.

The President of Serbia, Vucic, stated two days ago that the export of ammunition from Serbia has been completely stopped and that ammunition now only goes to domestic barracks and warehouses.
