Serbian and Croatian Presidents discussed about BiH

“The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said yesterday in Zagreb that Serbs and Croats have a good relationship in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), and they do not want to ruin it in no way, and that they would like to establish such relations with the Bosniak community,“ reports Anadolu Agency (AA).

“As far as BiH and possible trilateralism is concerned, we are always for every kind of conversation. Mr. Covic (Dragan Covic, President of the BiH Presidency) is well accepted guest in Belgrade, and is always welcome, since we have a high degree of agreement on various issues. I did not go into details about the Election Law and I would not argue it, because it would not be fair. We believe that Serbs and Croats have a good relationship in BiH, and we do not want to ruin it in no way, and we would like to establish such relations with the Bosniak community, “ said Vucic.

The president of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, also pointed out that the trilateralism between Croatia, Serbia and BiH, is one of the not only acceptable, but desirable mechanisms.

“Where can we talk about the issues that are burdening today’s BiH, and the fact that both Croatia and Serbia guarantee peace in BiH on the basis of the Dayton Peace Agreement, and that according to that we have, not only the right, but also the obligation to preserve the peace and security of our neighboring state, “ said Grabar-Kitarovic.

She also spoke about the Election Law in BiH, saying that Croatia is of the opinion that it needs to be changed and upgraded.

“Croatia is one of those states that believes that it needs to be changed and upgraded, and that changes must emphasize respect of the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, from Sejdic-Finci verdict, to the basic principle of functioning of the Dayton Agreement, which is the equality of the three peoples, which means that the Croatian representative in the Presidency of BiH should be chosen by Croats, so that he could also be a political representative, “ said Grabar-Kitarovic.
