Serbian Interior Minister confirms that He will not send Police Officers to One of BiH Entities

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, announced that he would not send police officers to Republika Srpska due to the reaction of Bosniak politicians, as stated, to normal police cooperation during the tourist season.

Six policemen of the MoI of Serbia were supposed to arrive on Monday and be deployed two each in Banja Luka, Trebinje and Foča.

“Bearing in mind that Bosniak politicians in Bosnia and Herzegovina create political intrigues and threats from the most normal thing of police cooperation in the tourist season, which has already existed in the entire region for more than 10 years, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia will not allow anyone to look for excuses for conflicts and preparations for war. That is why we will not send policemen to the Republika Srpska, so that it would not be an artificial reason for attacks on Serbia and the Serbian people,” said Dacic, and the MoI announced.

Dacic said earlier today that Serbia is ready to cooperate with everyone in BiH within the framework of police cooperation.

“If this is a problem for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has not been a problem for Croatia for 14 years and Montenegro for 12 years, we do not have to send anyone or have any kind of police cooperation,” Dačić pointed out.

Numerous reactions followed, from opposition political parties based in Sarajevo, which stated that it was about the implementation of the Declaration adopted at the “All-Serbian Parliament” on June 8 in Belgrade.

As stipulated in the Memorandum on Cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, from July 22 to September, six policemen from the Republic of Srpska would be deployed in Serbia, two each in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Zlatibor, Tanjug writes.
