Biker in Tears after arriving in Potocari: The hardest thing for me is seeing old Mothers

A group of bikers arrived at the Potočari Memorial Center after an ultra marathon of several hundred kilometers. They paid tribute to the victims of the genocide, and some of their reactions are emotionally impressive.

Among the group of bikers today in Potočari was Aris Kadun, who in memory of the victims of the genocide rode a thousand-kilometer road on a motorcycle.

“Every year I take part in the motorcycle marathon, I started from Vienna to Sarajevo, and then to Potočari. The road was good, we had no problems. After arriving here, it’s hard for me. The hardest thing is when I see those old mothers and I ask myself: from where do they find the strength,” Kadun said through tears.

Asmir Bašagić was born in California, and this year he arrived in Potočari for the first time. He also participated in a motorcycle marathon.

“It is also very important for us who do not live here, to visit our history and never forget it. One trip like this will remain in my special memory. I got goosebumps several times in the cities where we stopped. It is especially emotional on this one the back road,” said this young man.

The participants of the Peace March, who have traveled over 100 kilometers in recent days, should soon arrive at the Potočari Memorial Center. And they will pay tribute to the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, who will find their eternal peace tomorrow in the valley of white graves, Klix.ba reports.
