Set of Scientific Literature Handed to Libraries and Institutions in FB&H

(FOTO FENA/ALMIR RAZIC)The FB&H Minister of Education and Science Damir Mašić today at the B&H National and University Library in Sarajevo handed sets of encyclopedic, scientific and higher education literature to the representatives of University Libraries in the FB&H.

It is about 1.846 copies of books, meaning 115 different titles, which are distributed within a continuous support program of this Ministry.

Minister Mašić said that this time in the support program scientific institutions and institutes in the field of social sciences and humanities are included, including the Oriental institute, Institute of History and Language, as well as the National Museum of B&H.

He concluded that the libraries are rightly called the treasures of education, research and spiritual creativity, which is why he is convinced that this donation will contribute to the development of the  activities of the library, and will improve and enrich the library fund of higher education and scientific institutions in the FB&H.

“The FB&H Minister of Education and Science has recognized the role in the implementation of complex reform processes in the field of science and higher education and since 2007 until now in this area more than two million and 0ne hundred thousand BAM has been invested”, he emphasized.

The ceremony of handing the books is organized in the framework of the regular annual meeting of the Minister with Directors, or representatives of the six university libraries in the FB&H and the signing of a contract on the continuation of the functioning of the system of registry of scientific institutions, scientific personnel, scientific projects and infrastructure investments in the FB&H between this Ministry and University Libraries in B&H took place.

The Registry works for already 8 years, and the Ministry will allocate 21.000 BAM for its regular annual maintenance.
