Seven arrested on Suspicion of Human Trafficking, including Police Officers

The Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tuzla Canton announced that after months of investigation, a large-scale operation was carried out this morning, October 29, in the area of ​​Živinice, Banovići and Kalesija.

Acting on the order of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla and under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Tuzla, police officers conducted searches at seven locations, during which seven people were deprived of their liberty.

As confirmed, among the arrested are four police officers of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Canton of Tuzla, and all of them are suspected of the criminal act of “Human Trafficking” under Article 210a of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

These are the individuals with the initials B.K. (1974), Dž.P. (1970), J.M. (1995), M.H. (1979), N.A. (1984), Z.J. (1964) and S.Š. (1958).

Activities in this case are being undertaken under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton.
