Popis_stanovništvaBiH would receive funds from the EU for the census when the government meets the requirements and when the International Observation Mission shows that preparations for the census are progressing

Earlier, the EU Delegation warned that BiH due to the failure to meet the necessary requirements, could end up without the 7,5 million euros that the EU plans as additional support for the census in the country and that the census will be held in October, announced the Spokesperson of the EU Delegation to BiH Andy McGuffie.

These funds, in the form of grants to the BiH Statistics Agency, would directly support the census of fieldwork and covered around 35 percent of the total estimated cost of the census.

This amount is in addition to the already secured 4.5 million euros that the EU has allocated for technical assistance, equipment necessary for the census and the support of the International observation operations.

The EU warned a month ago that the census was already delayed and it is necessary to have effective action at all levels of government in order to ensure that the census is carried out in October 2013.
