The 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival presents the Kinoscope and Kinoscope Surreal programmes, which once again bring a selection of films marked by distinctive auteur visions, bold cinematic language, and stories that push the boundaries of the familiar.

„Kinoscope is a snapshot of film productions shown at the most prestigious festivals of the year, but not only. It is also home to the most challenging or cinematically daring features. We try to create a balance between very accomplished features praised by the press and the industry and features that might have been a bit overlooked or which might need another space to really shine,“ said the programme selectors, Alessandro Raja and Mathilde Henrot.

As guests of 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, arriving in Sarajevo are: actress Yana Radeva and producer Rita Kudrina (film The Dreamed Adventure), director of the film In a Whisper Leyla Bouzid, director of photography for the film Filipiñana Xenia Patricia, director of the film Object a Ann Oren, director of the film Congo BoyRafik Fariala, actress from the film Heysel 85 Violeta Braeckman, director of the film Manhunt Wayne Wapeemukwa, and director of the film Silent FriendIldikó Enyedi.

Kinoscope presents 12 narrative art-house films from around the world that explore new forms of storytelling and make space for stories that rarely find a place in regular theatrical distribution.

Kinoscope Surreal presents six genre films that explore darker and unsettling cinematic worlds, boldly pushing the boundaries of the fantastic. The programme features horror, body horror and queer genre films, aimed at audiences who enjoy unconventional, provocative and visually daring works.
