The winners of the Teen Action Programme were announced at the Festival Square at the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival. This year, the call was open to young people outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time – young people aged 12 to 18 from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina could submit their short film on the topic of environmental protection lasting up to 10 minutes.
The first prize went to the film RIBA I TOK RIJEKE by Milena Vujisić from Montenegro, who won an electric scooter. The second prize went to the film MORE PAMTI by Andrija Kulinović from Serbia, who won a bicycle. The third place went to the film ODBAČENA by Zafar Berkovac from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was awarded an underwater camera. The fourth place went to the film GRU THE DIFFERENT TREE by Sofija Đoković and Omer Nicević from Serbia, who won a tablet. The fifth place went to the film TRASH REBELS by Miloš Rosić from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who won a backpack.
All those who submitted their films to the Teen Action programme won free tickets to the TeenArena programme and the opportunity to have their film screened on the big screen as part of the Teen Arena programme of the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival.
The Teen Action programme partners are UNESCO’s Sarajevo City of Film, the Green Club of parliamentarians in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the United Nations Development Program in BiH through the Dialogue for the Future 3 initiative. Dialogue for the Future 3 (DFF3) is jointly implemented by UNDP, UNICEF, and UNESCO on behalf of the United Nations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in partnership with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with financial support from the United Nations Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund (PBF).
The awards were presented to the best filmmakers at the Festival Square by Ines Radić, Manager of Sarajevo, UNESCO City of Film, Šemsudin Mehmedović, Member of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of the Green Club, Natalija Stamenović, Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia, Renaud Meyer, UNDP Resident Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Zdenka Popović, Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro.
