Aida faktor.baTop quality footwear is being produced in Tuzla again. Half a year ago, company Intral BH brought the life back into the deserted halls of the former giant, Shoe Factory Aida. To the joy of many people, the sound of sewing machines that was long gone again echoes in the plants.

Late last year, Intral BH rented the production halls of the Shoe Factory Aida in bankruptcy, and then hired a large number of former workers of the giant in the field of shoemaking.

Until today, 300 people started working. According to the development strategy, trend of employing additional workforce will be continued in the coming period as well.

Intral BH is currently cooperating with companies from Slovenia, Austria, Germany and France.

“We can say with certainty that our products are exported throughout the world, because our partners sell our products to the interested buyers through their commercial services. Therefore, our products can now be found in Canada, USA, North Africa, Middle East and countries of the European Union,” said the Director General of Intral BH, Alija Šehović.

In cooperation with the Federal Employment Institute and USAID, Intral BH implemented a project of informal education. Through this project, nearly 230 people successfully completed education in the field of shoemaking, and then they were hired.

Given the need on the job market, last year Intral BH, City Administration of Tuzla and USAID launched a project of re-establishing the department of shoemaking in the Mixed Secondary School in Tuzla. By September, when the new academic year begins in the Tuzla Canton, at least 25 students are expected to enroll.

According to the development strategy which includes the introduction of two new production lines, by the end of this year Intral BH should hire another 100 workers.
