Significant Decrease in Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina

Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the three quarters amounted to about 7.57 billion BAM, which is 12.6 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to about 12.32 billion BAM, which is 15.8 percent less than in the first three quarters of last year.

The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 61.5 percent, while the foreign trade deficit amounted to about 4.74 billion BAM, the Agency for Statistics of BiH stated.

Exports to CEFTA countries in the first nine months amounted to about 1.2 billion BAM, which is 14.3 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to about 1.57 billion BAM, which is 11.8 percent less than in the first three quarters of 2019.

The coverage of imports by exports with CEFTA countries was 76.8 percent. Exports to EU countries in the first three quarters amounted to 5.53 billion BAM, which is 12.7 percent less than in the same period in 2019, while imports amounted to 7.46 billion BAM, which is 16.7 percent less than in the first nine months of last year.

The coverage of imports by exports with EU countries was 74.1 percent.
