No Significant Difference Recorded in Price Level in May

agency for statisticsOn the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the prices of products and services which are used for personal consumption, on average did not record any significant changes. The prices were measured by the consumer price index and were compared to ones recorded in April.

The following information was obtained from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it was concluded that the decline of average prices was recorded in the sections of “food and beverage” and “alcoholic beverages and tobacco” by 0.1 percent. On the other side, the price increase was recorded in sections “Clothing and footwear” 0.3%, “housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels” 0.2%, “health” of 0.3% and “transportation” and “other goods and services” to 0, 1 percent.

The prices recorded this year are in average lower for 1.3% than in May 2013.

 

In addition, the average decline of prices was recorded in “food and beverages” to 4%, “clothing and footwear” to 4.6 %, “housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels” by 0.2% and “furniture, household equipment and household maintenance “of 1.1 percent.

However, the average increase of prices was recorded in “alcoholic beverages and tobacco ‘by 5.4 %,” health “0.4 %,” transport “0.1%, “communication” 2.9%,”education” 0.4%, ” culture” and “restaurants and hotels” 0.2% and “other goods and services” by 0.5 percent.
